Razorbacks Youth Football and Cheer Annual Banquet   Mount Vernon, NY – On February 19th, the Armory was turned into a sea of maroon and gold were the Mt. Vernon Razorback Youth Football and Cheer Organization celebrated another successful season at its Annual Banquet. Participants, Coaches, family, friends and Mayor Thomas all came out to recognize and support the youth for their hard work and accomplishments during the 2016 season.  Participants received awards for Offensive/Defensive player of the year, Most Improved, Mr. and Ms. Razorback and most importantly Academic achievement for “A” and “B” Honor Roll. The youth were excited as parents gushed with pride as they accepted the awards and posed for pictures with the Mayor. Coaches, Team Moms and even a few “Cheer Dads” were also recognized for their dedication and commitment to the youth and success of another season.  This year through fund raising efforts and generous donations from Razorback supporters, the youth enjoyed another trip to Florida for the National Championship games. The JR Pee Wee team qualified for[w1]  the national championships in Tampa Florida and did an outstanding job finishing 2nd in the nation after losing a great championship game. Insert quote from you or Mac…”We all were extremely proud of their performance and sportsmanship on and off the field.” The organization was created in 1977 Yuhanna and Roslyn Edwards along with a group of other concerned parents that wanted structured organized football and cheer in this community.  The Razorbacks would like to thank the Mount Vernon Department of Recreation and the City School District  for their continued support and Special Event Planners, Bounce & Boogee for providing the fabulous decorations.
